Deleting your Lift CRM account

This applies to Lift CRM on Google Play, the Microsoft Store and the web (liftcrm.app), published by Lift CRM. Lift CRM accounts belong to a business: staff accounts are set up by their employer, and customer-portal accounts by the business that serves the customer. That business's admins delete accounts, so the steps depend on who you are.

How to delete your account

  • Business admins: in the app, open Settings → Profile & Security → Delete my account and confirm with your password. If you are your business's only admin, make someone else an admin first, or email us to close the whole business account.
  • Staff: open Settings → Profile & Security → Delete my account and tap Request account deletion. (Marketing agency users: your profile menu → Account.) Your company's admins are told and delete it.
  • Customer portal users: sign in to the portal, then on your details card tap Delete my account → Send deletion request. The business's admins are told and delete it.
  • Anyone, with or without the app: email privacy@liftcrm.ca from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my Lift CRM account" and the name of the business you use it with.

When

Within 30 days of your request. Every in-app request also reaches us, so if a business's admin hasn't done it, we will.

What is deleted

Your name, email address, phone number, photo and password are removed from the account, you are signed out everywhere, and the account can never be signed in to again.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Work records a business must keep — timesheets and payroll, completed jobs, inventory history and approvals — stay in the business's account with your name removed, for as long as the business keeps its records (tax and accounting laws often require several years).
  • For customer-portal accounts: the business's own records about you (your contact details, properties, estimates, invoices and jobs) belong to that business and stay with them. Ask the business, or email us, if you want those deleted too; they may have to keep invoices and payment records for legal reasons.
  • Security and activity logs that mention the account are deleted automatically after 12 months.
  • Backups roll over, and deleted data drops out of them within about 30 days.

1. Who We Are

Lift CRM ("we", "us", "our") operates the Lift CRM platform available at liftcrm.app. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of personal information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and phone number
  • Client data: client names, email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses
  • Property information: property addresses, locations, and access notes
  • Service data: estimates, job details, task records, invoices, and notes
  • Usage data: login timestamps and audit logs for security purposes
  • Employee location: when your employer enables it, the GPS position of your device at the moment you clock in, clock out, or record a job event such as arriving on site. This is collected only at those moments, only while you are on the clock, and is visible only to managers and administrators at your own company — never to other businesses using Lift CRM. It is used to confirm attendance at the correct job site and to calculate drive distance. If your device does not provide a position, or you decline the permission, you can still clock in and out normally.

3. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols. Access to the database is restricted to authorized personnel only.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Lift CRM platform
  • Manage client relationships, estimates, jobs, and invoices
  • Communicate with you regarding your account and services
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our platform through audit logging
  • Comply with legal obligations

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only with service providers who assist in operating the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their services. All service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.

6. PIPEDA Compliance

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal privacy law. We collect personal information only with your knowledge and consent, limit collection to what is necessary for our stated purposes, and protect your information with appropriate security safeguards.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and you continue to use our services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days of the request. Certain data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes — see Deleting your Lift CRM account for exactly what is kept and for how long.

8. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Delete your personal data by requesting account deletion (how)
  • Withdraw consent for the collection and use of your information

9. Cookies

Lift CRM uses session cookies strictly for authentication purposes. These cookies are necessary for you to remain signed in while using the platform. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
